Outside Sales Manager – Custom Glass & Shower Enclosure Manufacturer

Location: Central Islip, NY

This is a high-visibility role reporting directly to senior leadership, with real influence over how our sales organization runs. If you're a player-coach who's more energized by building a team than by closing your own deals, we'd like to talk.

Quality Enclosures is a privately held, family-owned manufacturer of custom shower enclosures and flat glass products, based in Central Islip, NY and serving professional customers across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. We've grown by combining quality products, effective service, and real relationships — and we're looking for a sales leader who can help us build an even stronger Outside Sales team without losing that entrepreneurial edge.

We're hiring an Outside Sales Manager to lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of five outside territory sales representatives. This is a true player-coach role: roughly 60% of  your time in the field (including several nights most weeks in a hotel) riding along with reps and visiting customers, and 40% in the office on planning, coaching, and reporting. What you'll do

• Lead and develop a team of five outside sales reps, regular one-on-ones, ride-alongs, and real coaching right after customer meetings
• Set clear expectations for activity and results, and hold the team accountable to them
• Grow existing accounts while driving new business development across the territory
• Dig into CRM and activity data to figure out what's working, what isn't, and why
• Partner with Inside Sales, Operations, and company leadership to keep the sales process sharp
• Report on performance, opportunities, and market conditions to senior leadership

What you bring

• 3+ years leading, coaching, or managing an outside sales team, ideally in a B2B environment
• A track record of turning coaching into measurably better rep performance
• Comfort holding people accountable — directly, respectfully, consistently
• Strong data instincts: you can read a sales report and know what to do about it
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory (60%), including overnight travel (several nights most weeks)
• Excel-literate, including comfort with VLOOKUP or similar formulas
• Comfortable using Claude or similar AI tools to sharpen ideas, communication, and analysis
• A valid driver's license and genuine enthusiasm for being on the road with your team
• Bonus points for experience in construction, building products, glass/glazing, shower enclosures, or manufacturing/distribution

Compensation & benefits: $135,000–$150,000 base plus performance bonus, with total compensation potential landing between $170,000 and $200,000 depending on experience and results. We also offer a 401(k) with a defined company match, medical, dental, and vision benefits, and paid time off.
