Locums OB Hospitalist - Cape Girardeau, Missouri Availability & Program
- Program Start: Anticipated early 2027
- Coverage: Clinic and Labor & Delivery support
- Program Objective: Provide consistent, high-quality OB/GYN care and expand access to women's healthcare
- Additional Opportunity: Potential to increase GYN surgeries
- OB/GYNs Needed for First Assist: Yes
- Circumcision Requirement: TBD
- Backup Available: Yes
- Clinic Providers: 6
- Average Hospital Deliveries: Approximately 55/month
- Annual Deliveries: Approximately 670
- Expected OBHG Patient Encounters: Approximately 4.7/day
- Current L&D Coverage: 4 OB/GYNs + 2 CNMs
- LDRP Rooms: 18
- Nursery: Level III
- NICU: Level II
- Anesthesia: On call nights and weekends
- Tele-MFM: Available through Mercy St. Louis
- EMR: Epic in both hospital and clinic
- Fetal Monitoring: GE Healthcare Centricity Perinatal with Perigen add-on upcoming
- OR Days: Varies
- Da Vinci Robot: Available
- Maximum Expected Daily Volume: 25-30 patients
- Visit Types: 15- or 30-minute visits and procedures
- Recent Average Clinic Volume: Approximately 1,550 visits/month
- Average Daily Clinic Volume: Approximately 120 patients/day, fluctuating based on provider availability and PTO
- Support clinic and L&D services
- Expand access to women's healthcare in the community
