This contract opportunity is designed for those with strong pediatric experience and the SLP-CCC credential, focusing on extended school year (ESY) services. Located near Arlington Heights, IL, this assignment runs from June 1st to June 25th, Monday through Thursday, with hours from 7:45 am to 12:15 pm—perfect for SLPs seeking work-life balance while gaining valuable school experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active SLP license in the state of Illinois and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Previous experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in school settings
• Strong background working with pediatric populations
• Expertise in speech, language, and communication interventions for diverse student needs
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in keeping with individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments as needed
• Document student progress and maintain accurate, timely records
• Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and families to develop and implement effective therapy plans
• Support students in achieving communication goals during ESY
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive, student-centered environment
