Your Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, order necessary diagnostic tests, and develop tailored care plans
• Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses independently or in collaboration with physicians, in accordance with your credentials
• Educate patients and their families on wellness, prevention, and chronic disease management
• Prescribe necessary medications and therapies based on your practice scope
• Engage in follow-up care and chronic disease management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide integrated, patient-centered care
• Accurately document all encounters within electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Required

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Washington, DC
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to achieve within 90 days)
