Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the organization's financial obligations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing invoices, managing payments, and maintaining vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process invoices and ensure timely payments in accordance with established terms.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Receiving, and vendors to resolve any invoice discrepancies.
• Conduct weekly reviews of payments for accuracy and execute ACH, Wire, and Check transactions.
• Perform monthly accounts payable closures to ensure accurate period reporting.
• Reconcile supplier statements and address any discrepancies.
• Manage digital document uploads and maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist with other departmental duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
• Proficient understanding of AP processes, internal controls, and accounting principles.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is required; experience with Microsoft Dynamics, AS400, and IntelliChief is advantageous.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work for extended periods in a sedentary role, with repetitive movements such as keyboarding and monitor use.
• Capability to work in an office environment with occasional visits to manufacturing areas.

Compensation: $22-25/hr + benefits
