Accounting ManagerWe are partnering with a well-established public sector organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee critical financial operations and support the organization's long-term fiscal success.Responsibilities:Oversee accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, cash receipts, purchasing, and capital assetsAssist with budget preparation, financial reporting, forecasting, and analysisManage monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statementsCoordinate annual audits, grants compliance, ACFR preparation, and internal controlsSupervise and mentor accounting staff while driving process improvementsEnsure compliance with governmental accounting standards, policies, and regulationsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldMunicipal/government accounting experience strongly preferredMinimum of 4 years of supervisory experience within a public sector or municipal environmentStrong knowledge of fund accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and internal controlsCPA and/or Master's degree preferredExcellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills$105,000 - $130,000 a year
