We’re seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for contract positions serving Autistic Support classrooms, available immediately through May 2027. Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate (required).
- Experience in special education—particularly with autism spectrum disorders—highly valued.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Passion for creating structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environments.
- Adaptable and proactive in meeting diverse student needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students with autism, supporting academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
- Work closely with PCA staff to ensure every child receives personal attention and support.
- Monitor and document student progress, modifying strategies as needed to foster success.
- Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Foster a positive, safe, and engaging classroom culture that celebrates each student’s strengths.
