Job Summary

Demonstrate competent clinical skills; utilize critical thinking to identify and meet patient needs; achieve positive patient outcomes through group process; display leadership traits that contribute to attainment of patient and departmental goals; assist with unit QI/research projects; identify actual legal/ethical issues and implement appropriate nursing actions. Responsibilities

1. Patient Care: Demonstrates consistent use of nursing process in daily practice and manages more complex patients with minimal assistance.2. Knowledge and Skills: Identifies personal learning needs to be competent in area of practice; independently performs advanced skills; begins to assist others to develop skills using the teaching/learning process.3. Professional Relationships/Leadership: Initiate and effectively demonstrate behaviors which result in positive patient outcomes through group process; identifies need to change own practice based on PI/QI outcomes.4. Quality Improvement/Research: Expands understanding of research process and the specific application to nursing practice

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education
• Associate's Degree (Required) Experience: 1 Year of RN experienceSubstitution: May substitute Formal Nursing Program for the Associate Degree
• Bachelor's Degree
