Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate skilled nursing care for neonates in the NICU on assigned shifts.
• Conduct care planning, administer medications, monitor physiological changes, and address psychosocial needs of neonates.
• Engage in patient and family education, supporting their understanding of care plans and discharge considerations.
• Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel in line with scope of practice.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely updates to care plans and documentation.
• Cross-train and be prepared to float to pediatric units as needed to support clinical operations.

Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• NICU or neonatal care experience preferred
• Ability to work days with 12-hour shifts in an NICU environment
• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills
• Willingness to work in an inpatient NICU setting and adhere to unit policies
