Principal Software Engineer - DevOps / Infra

Salary: $118,300 - 224,900 per year Requirements:

• We typically require a STEM degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related discipline with at least 5 years of experience.
• We require an active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret clearance, or higher, before the start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required to be eligible for a security clearance.
• We value experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CI/CD pipelines.

• We prefer scripting experience with Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• We prefer experience working in virtualized environments such as VMware or Proxmox.
• We prefer familiarity with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and VLANs, and with configuring network or virtual network devices.

• We support and develop automation solutions that help teams build and deploy code efficiently and consistently.
• We own and optimize the programs CI/CD pipeline to improve integration and delivery of the simulation environment.
• We troubleshoot build chain and CI/CD pipeline issues.
• We identify manual work that can be automated and recommend strategy improvements, including automated testing within the CI/CD pipeline.
• We evaluate changes in the context of the full CI/CD infrastructure before implementing improvements.
• We mentor other engineers and solve critical technical challenges with innovative approaches.
