Systems Programmer Analyst II (Internet/Intranet Web Developer) The Systems Programmer Analyst II is responsible for performing work related to Internet/Intranet Web Development and application interface development using a variety of programming tools and languages, including .NET, JavaScript, and text editors. Technical Knowledge (Required) Ability to build Websites, Internet and Intranet Ability to manipulate graphics with Adobe Photoshop or other graphics programs Experience with Microsoft Office applications Experience developing Web applications using Visual Studio VB.NET & ASP.NET Experience developing and supporting Web Sites Experience developing and supporting Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) Understanding of OOD/OOP concepts Ability to modify and maintain Web applications written in JavaScript HTML knowledge and ability to debug Web page problems using a text editor All phases of systems analysis and design Ability to work with application developers to design and maintain application interfaces Technical Knowledge and Experience (Desirable) HTML, ASP, JavaScripts, VBScripts, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash, Fireworks IIS MS Visual SourceSafe and Visio IE Web Controls XML and Java XML APIs Developing and using Web Services SQL All phases of analysis and design BA/BS degree in a Computer Science related major Willingness to participate in requirements gathering, documentation, and application design Ability to listen and communicate effectively with team members, internal customers, and other county departments/agencies Self-motivated and able to operate with minimal direction, actively seeking and sharing information Minimum Qualifications Three years of progressive responsibility in systems analysis or programming analysis reflecting thorough knowledge of Internet/Intranets Satisfactory completion of 24 units of college level or equivalent related coursework (or equivalent experience) Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements Physical Characteristics: Ability to stand, stoop, reach and bend; to walk up/down uneven terrain/irregular surfaces/hills. Upper body strength to lift/push/pull/carry up to 30‑35 pound objects. Vision sufficient to read standard text and to drive. Speak and hear well enough in a noisy environment to communicate clearly and understandably in person, over the telephone and in small groups. Manual dexterity to write and use a computer keyboard. Environmental Conditions: Work in an office environment, drive personal vehicles to facilities and meetings, and occasionally work evenings or weekends to attend meetings/special events.
