As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes. Responsibilities

• Transform lives through expert assessment and treatment of communication, cognition, feeding, and swallowing disorders.
• You’ll evaluate patients, develop diagnoses and prognoses, create individualized treatment plans, deliver evidence-based interventions, and educate patients and caregivers to support meaningful outcomes. 
• Maintain accurate documentation and billing, participate in interdisciplinary care planning, coordinate referrals, and ensure compliance with regulatory and payer requirements. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, program development, patient safety, and operational excellence. 
• Provide clinical supervision to support staff and students, collaborate across teams, and foster a culture of learning.
• Stay current with evolving clinical practices, embrace professional growth opportunities, and help develop colleagues while advancing exceptional patient-centered care. 

Qualifications

Education:  

• Successful completion of a Master’s Level program accredited by the American Speech & Hearing Associations, Applicants in their Clinical Fellowship Year considered.

Experience:  

• One year of clinical experience required if it’s with UnityPoint at Home.
• Prior work as an SLP in practice area preferred.

License(s)/Certification(s):  

• Speech-Language Pathology License in good standing in the state(s) of practice (current or temporary) required.
  • Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (IADHHS) 
  • Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations (IDFPR) 
  • Wisconsin Department of Safety & Professional Services 
• Must possess and maintain current BLS certification. 
• Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) 
• IA Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required.
• IA Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Training in state(s) where providing care required.
• IL Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required.
• IL Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Training in state(s) where providing care required.
