Senior Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantSouth Hackensack, NJ | Flexible ScheduleTheater Outsource is working with a well-established national supplier and manufacturer serving the entertainment industry to find a detail-oriented Staff Accountant. This position supports daily accounting operations, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys variety, takes pride in producing accurate work, and wants to grow within a stable organization.What You'll Do:Support daily accounting operations across general accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payablePrepare account schedules and bank reconciliations for month-end closeReconcile supporting schedules to the financial statementsCompile sales, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory reportsAssist with external CPA reviews and lender field examinationsPrepare monthly sales tax reports for review and filingAssist with monthly sales commission calculationsHelp maintain documented accounting procedures and internal controlsSupport the annual budgeting processDevelop training materials and videos covering departmental proceduresProvide backup accounting coverage when neededWhat We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 2–3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent hands-on accounting experienceExperience in manufacturing, wholesale distribution, installation, rental, or a similar business environment preferredStrong Microsoft Excel skillsWorking knowledge of accounting softwareExperience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plusExposure to cost accounting, construction accounting, or prevailing-wage projects is helpfulStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsConsistent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlinesInitiative, reliability, and a willingness to learnAbility to communicate and collaborate across departmentsSchedule and Benefits:37.5-hour workweekFull-time, part-time, and flexible scheduling options may be availableMedical insurance401(k) with company matchingDisability, life insurance, and additional benefit optionsTheater Outsource is an equal opportunity employer.
