The Recycling Sorter plays a vital role in the waste management process by accurately identifying and sorting recyclable materials such as plastics, glass, paper, cardboard, metal, electronics, and mixed recyclables. Working primarily in 8-hour shifts, this role ensures materials are properly separated while adhering to safety protocols. The position may occasionally require operating heavy machinery and offers opportunities for advancement into supervisory roles within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Identify and sort recyclable materials including plastic, glass, paper, cardboard, metal, electronics, and mixed recyclables
• Adhere strictly to safety compliance guidelines and procedures
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy during 8-hour shifts
• Occasionally operate heavy machinery as required
• Support a clean and organized work environment

Required Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in recycling or waste management
• Proficient in material identification
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of safety procedures
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks
• Effective time management skills
