Payne Auto Group

About OpenEdD
At OpenEd, we're opening the world to every learner. With over 100,000 students served and growing rapidly, families trust us as a partner to the most precious thing in their lives, their children. Our vision: a future where education is no longer constrained by geography, rigid models, or outdated systems. Our mission: to give every student customized, world-class education and resources, empowering families and opening millions of doors for learners across the country.

Our Culture (The Foundation of Everything We Do)
Culture at OpenEd is intentional. It's defined by what we promote-and what we tolerate. Our latest eNPS (employee net promoter score) of 76 places OpenEd in the top .1% of technology companies. Our values aren't just words; they are non-negotiable principles that guide every decision:
  • Customer First - Obsessed with delivering value; we fight tirelessly for our learners and families.
  • Hard Choices, Easy Life - Face challenges directly, swiftly, and transparently.
  • I Did > We Should - Action over theory; bring experiments, not just opinions.
  • Learn Out Loud - Share your growth openly; feedback is a gift, ego is the enemy.
  • Prioritize Ruthlessly - Excellence in the few critical areas over mediocrity everywhere.
  • Fast AND World Class - Speed doesn't compromise quality.
  • Strong Opinions, Weakly Held - Advocate passionately, adjust readily.
  • Make Others Famous - Elevate your colleagues, partners, and community.
About the Role

The Program Administrator is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing execution of a specialized OpenEd program in Washington with elevated compliance requirements and program-specific expectations. This role serves as the primary owner of program-level fidelity, ensuring that teachers, specialists, and support teams clearly understand and consistently execute requirements unique to the program.

Working under the direction of the Director of Program Implementation, the Program Administrator translates program expectations into day-to-day practice while maintaining deep expertise in state-specific requirements. This role also serves as a key advocate for continuous improvement, elevating insights and recommending product and process enhancements that improve the student, parent, and staff experience.

The ideal candidate combines strong knowledge of compliance and program requirements with the ability to operationalize expectations, support staff, and drive alignment across teams. This role will involve cross-functional collaboration and requires residency in the state the program serves.

Your Immediate Impact

In this role, the Program Administrator will have an immediate impact by ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance within their assigned program. By supporting staff in understanding and executing program-specific requirements, proactively identifying risks, and strengthening communication across teams, this role will lead to improved program fidelity, reduced compliance gaps, and a more seamless experience for students and families from day one.

Job Requirements
  • Owning the implementation and ongoing execution of a specialized program with elevated compliance or program-specific requirements
  • Ensuring teachers and specialists understand and adhere to program expectations, policies, and workflows
  • Serving as the subject matter expert on state-specific and program-specific requirements
  • Monitoring program fidelity through data, audits, and regular review of key systems (attendance, engagement, progress, documentation, etc.)
  • Identifying compliance risks or gaps and proactively addressing them
  • Partnering with the Director of Program Implementation to align program execution with broader system design
  • Supporting staff through training, communication, and ongoing guidance related to program requirements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (learning, partnerships, product, operations) to ensure alignment and effective execution
  • Elevating trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement based on program data and stakeholder feedback
  • Advocating for product and system enhancements that improve the experience for students, families, and staff within the program
  • Supporting documentation and audit readiness to ensure compliance with state and partner expectations
Who You Are
  • A professional with strong knowledge of compliance, program requirements, and state-specific expectations within K-12 education
  • A clear communicator who can translate complex requirements into actionable guidance for staff
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and addressing risks
  • A collaborative team player who can build strong relationships across functions
  • A problem-solver who uses data and feedback to drive improvements
This role will excite you IF:
  • You enjoy owning a program and ensuring it runs with clarity, consistency, and compliance
  • You are motivated by supporting others in doing their best work within defined requirements
  • You thrive in environments where details matter and accuracy is critical
  • You enjoy identifying patterns, solving problems, and improving systems over time
  • You are energized by advocating for changes that improve the experience for students, families, and staff
  • You take pride in being the go-to expert for a program and ensuring it operates successfully
Team & Autonomy

This is a full-time position. The Program Administrator reports directly to the Director of Program Implementation and works closely with academic, student services, operations, and product teams to ensure program alignment and success. This role requires residency in the state the program serves and a high degree of ownership, responsiveness, and independent judgment in managing program-specific needs.

Required
  • This position requires residence in the state of Washington and will require occasional in-state travel to oversee in-person assessments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Public Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in K-12 education, preferably in virtual, blended, or non-traditional learning environments.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and improving systems or programs at scale.
  • Strong understanding of core school operations (attendance, assessment, curriculum, grading, and student support systems).
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and influencing without direct authority.
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to use metrics to inform decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Experience developing training materials, documentation, or operational playbooks.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify gaps, solve problems, and drive alignment across teams.
  • Attend team meetings as requested or required.
  • Lead by example to foster an environment that is supportive of OpenEd's values and represent OpenEd with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Adhere to all federal, state and/or local regulations, OpenEd policies and procedures, and other compliance obligations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements
  • Commitment to maintaining flexible availability during traditional business hours in the Mountain Time Zone.
  • Familiarity with Google products such as Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Forms, Sheet, etc.
  • Access to a smartphone, high-speed internet, computer, webcam, and headset.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Our Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary, 73K-100K + 8K Variable compensation
  • Comprehensive Health Benefits: Health insurance package including medical, dental, vision, life, critical illness, accident, STD/LTD, HSA, and FSA with dependent care.
  • Flexible Work Arrangement: We're a fully remote workforce that emphasizes a healthy work-life balance by allowing some autonomy in work hours. Monthly tech subsidy provided.
  • Generous Paid Time Off policy, enabling you to recharge, spend quality time with loved ones, and pursue personal interests outside of work.
  • Supportive Team Environment: Join a supportive and collaborative team environment where your contributions are valued, and teamwork is encouraged, fostering a culture of success and mutual respect.
