Academic Tutor & Mentor
City Year
As an Academic Tutor & Mentor with City Year, you’ll serve in a public school, helping students build academic skills, confidence, and engagement. Working closely with teachers, you’ll provide in-class support, small-group instruction, and one-on-one tutoring in core subjects, while fostering students’ social-emotional growth. You’ll collaborate with a diverse AmeriCorps team, participate in regular training and coaching, and contribute to an inclusive school culture. This service role is ideal for individuals passionate about education, social justice, and developing their leadership skills.
