ABOUT THE ROLEThe Director of Supply Chain Strategy & Excellence is a high-impact leadership role responsible for architecting and executing a comprehensive end-to-end supply chain strategy. This position focuses on driving operational excellence, long-term scalability, and rigorous cost management across the enterprise. The successful candidate will use advanced SQL and Python to build rigorous data models, surface operational insights to craft a strategic vision, identify opportunities to deploy advanced AI-driven technologies to automate decision-making and improve predictive accuracy, and optimize the global network to enhance service levels and deliver significant bottom-line value.YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTONDevelop and implement a multi-year supply chain roadmap aligned with corporate growth and fiscal objectivesNetwork Design: Lead the design and optimization of the global distribution and logistics network to ensure maximum efficiency and customer satisfactionServe as a key advisor to executive leadership on supply chain trends, risks, and investment opportunitiesDrive cross-functional alignment between Finance, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to ensure integrated business planningTargeted Savings: Establish and manage robust cost-reduction programs targeting delivery, service & repair, refurbishment, and transportationCost of Quality (CoQ): Drive "Quality-by-Design" initiatives, incorporating member and engineering feedback to optimize product reliability and reduce total CoQOversee the supply chain budget, ensuring financial targets are met through rigorous expense management and productivity gainsImplement total landed cost models to drive data-driven decision-making in sourcing and logisticsPartner with analytics engineering to define and build dbt data models that translate exploratory supply chain analyses into reliable, reusable data infrastructureAI Deployment: Incorporate AI tools into analytical workflows and build AI-assisted data capabilities that empower non-technical supply chain partners to make faster, better decisionsMember First Analytics: Use data to develop feedback loops to drive continuous improvement of the member experienceDevelop and monitor KPIs focused on cost-to-serve, perfect order fulfillment, and working capital efficiencyChampion a culture of continuous improvement utilizing Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate wasteBuild, lead, and mentor a high-performing team, focusing on increasing internal talent densityPromote a data-driven mindset and technical proficiency across the departmentDefine organizational structures and roles that support evolving business needs and scalabilityFoster a culture of high performance with a focus on retention of top talentYOU BRING TO PELOTONBachelor’s Degree: Required in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or a related fieldMaster’s Degree/MBA: Highly preferred8+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations, with a proven track record of delivering cost-savings and strategic transformationsAdvanced SQL and Python proficiency with hands-on experience building models and conducting deep-dive analyses Exceptional ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable strategic insightsAbility to see the big picture while maintaining attention to detail in executionStrong executive presence with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organizationExperience with dbt or modern analytics engineering workflows, including defining data models and working with engineering teams to productionize analytical work — strongly preferredExperience incorporating AI tools into personal data workflows and helping non-technical teams adopt AI-assisted approachesDemonstrated success in leading large-scale organizational change initiativesSuccess MetricsTotal Landed Cost Reduction - Target Goal: Annual target of 5-8% reduction across primary categoriesInventory Turnover - Target Goal: Improvement of 10% year-over-yearOn-Time-In-Full (OTIF) - Target Goal: Achieve and maintain >98%Forecast Accuracy - Target Goal: Improvement of 20% through integrated planning#LI-DD1#LI-HybridThe base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, experience and business objectives and if the location for the job changes.
