Marketing Manager, Alpha - $100,000/year USD

Overview Important note: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, Texas campus. Alpha is creating a high school that emphasizes execution over theory. You will coach high school students directly as they launch businesses, manage projects, and build real-world capabilities. This role focuses on coaching execution, establishing high expectations, maintaining accountability, and challenging students to produce work that meets real-world standards. This position is designed for individuals who have achieved meaningful results outside academic settings and want to mentor motivated teenagers to reach their potential. What You Will Be Doing Design practical workshops that teach students how to build genuine social media followings Mentor students on content strategy, from concept development to AI-driven optimization Support students in transforming their personal areas of expertise into marketable brands Provide 1:1 and small-group coaching to help students define goals, maintain consistency, and produce tangible outputs Enforce high standards for communication quality, work output, and follow-through Mentor students through real-world initiatives (entrepreneurship, marketing, coding, etc.) and demand measurable results Monitor student development across the 3 Cs and step in when performance declines Deliver clear, direct communication to students and parents regarding progress, challenges, and action plans What You Won’t Be Doing Teaching traditional lessons or adhering to a standard curriculum Evaluating homework assignments or emphasizing theoretical concepts Accommodating disengaged students or compromising standards for comfort Working within a slow-moving, bureaucratic school system Key Responsibilities and Requirements Marketing Manager Key Responsibilities Produce measurable improvement in students' confidence, communication, and practical capability by guiding them to execute consistently at a high standard. Basic Requirements Proven record of significant personal accomplishment in at least one practical domain: launching a company, building an audience, generating revenue, publishing research, competing at an elite level, or equivalent Effective coaching and mentoring abilities, with a capacity to inspire teenage learners 3+ years of experience coaching/mentoring teenagers Strong communication and presentation capabilities Proficiency with AI and technology tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) Available to work on-site in Austin, TX. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
