What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one-hour live workshops on life skills (public speaking, focus, giving and receiving feedback) for K-8 (elementary and middle school) cohorts, executing Alpha's playbook with fidelity rather than creating content from scratch Conducting motivation sessions that leverage student analytics and Alpha's incentive mechanisms (school currency, leaderboards) to achieve 100% student goal completion Developing Guides on program adherence and standards enforcement, ensuring each coaching session yields concrete improvement actions Managing your own student cohort while simultaneously developing other Guides Monitoring student satisfaction scores, goal completion rates, and Guide performance data weekly to identify underperformance before it escalates What You Won’t Be Doing Delivering lectures or tutoring students in academic content. Students complete academics through self-guided apps without adult instruction. Creating curriculum or developing original lesson plans. The playbook is established; success is measured by execution fidelity, not creativity. Coaching Guides on instructional methods. Guides don't instruct, so your coaching centers on energy, motivation, and accountability. Accepting 99% instead of 100%. Maintaining the standard demonstrates your belief in their capacity to reach it. Serving as the school's empathy outlet. Students receive connection here, but they also receive honest feedback and meaningful consequences. Basic Requirements Willing to work on-campus in Atlanta, GA; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Austin, TX; Keller (Fort Worth), TX; The Woodlands (Houston), TX; Park City (Salt Lake City), UT; or Toronto, Canada (relocation support provided) Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field 5+ years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, youth leadership, or a comparable field Track record of leading a team of 5 or more adults, including hiring and making performance-based termination decisions Direct experience working with kids aged 5-14 in an educational or developmental setting Built, launched, or significantly grew a program, team, business, school, or initiative from the ground up Proven use of data and metrics to set weekly goals and drive decisions, not just report results Legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada Nice-to-have Requirements Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field Experience coaching athletics, leading wilderness or experiential programs, directing camps, or running youth ministry at a scale requiring cohort management and outcome measurement Transitioned from classroom teaching to program leadership roles in EdTech, tutoring businesses, youth nonprofits, or school intervention teams Early-career record of exceptional personal performance — academic, athletic, or professional — before transitioning into leadership Conviction that the current education system is broken and personal commitment to rebuilding it About Alpha Alpha School is on a mission to reshape education with a bold approach that harnesses AI to accelerate learning and unleash student potential. Working with us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
