Education Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school certification required.
• Technical training in CNC programming, machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred.
• Ongoing training in CNC machining, CAD/CAM software, and manufacturing processes is valued.

Experience Requirements

• 1-3 years of CNC programming experience or 5+ years of CNC machining experience required.
• Experience using CAD/CAM software to create CNC programs from 3D models and engineering drawings preferred.
• Working knowledge of G-code and M-code programming required.
• CNC milling programming experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and blueprint reading abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is a plus.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a manufacturing facility for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, and handling materials and tooling as required.
• Ability to safely operate CNC machinery and manufacturing equipment.
• Willingness to work overtime, extended hours, and flexible schedules to meet production demands.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in a production environment.

Job Duties

• Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software from 3D models, blueprints, and engineering documentation.
• Develop efficient machining programs, select tooling, calculate speeds and feeds, and support process planning.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure quality and production requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, material, and production issues to minimize downtime.
• Inspect finished parts, identify defects, and maintain compliance with quality standards and tolerances.
• Collaborate with operators, engineers, and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and productivity.
• Operate CNC equipment as needed, support preventive maintenance activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate production records, support safety and quality objectives, and assist with employee training and knowledge sharing.

What You Will Do


As a CNC Programmer you will set up, operate, monitor, and adjust CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications. You will verify machine setups, inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, troubleshoot machining issues, maintain tooling, and support quality and production goals while following established safety and manufacturing procedures.
