We do the right thing—today and for generations to come.LocationThis role could be based in Wayzata, Minnesota (preferred) or Wichita, Kansas. Job Purpose and ImpactThe Director, HR Business Partner – HR and Law, Compliance & Corporate Affairs partners with global senior HR and Law, Compliance and Corporate Affairs leaders to execute the people and culture strategy, focused on efforts related to organizational design, leadership development, strategic workforce planning and talent management, team and organization effectiveness and change management. This job champions changes to advance organizational goals and key strategic initiatives and translates and executes business strategies, challenges and talent needs.The ideal candidate demonstrates strategic agility, strong executive stakeholder management, and a collaborative, forward-thinking approach. This leader will play a key role in cultivating an engaging, inclusive and energizing culture across diverse, global teams.Key AccountabilitiesBUSINESS PARTNERSHIP: Leads people and culture processes and initiatives across the assigned group including talent assessment, talent planning, and development strategies to select, retain and develop critical talent, performance management, team development and engagement action planning.CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Provides partnership and practical solutions to improve performance and engagement, increase productivity, understand talent needs and mitigate people risk for the business.STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT & ACTIVATION: Partners to manage the development of people strategies that support business strategies and objectives and supports and influences key operational and strategic decisions.DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION: Drives strategic focus and action towards diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and goals.METRICS & ANALYSIS: Uses metrics and analytics to assess and manage overall organizational health of the business to influence decisions and deliver significant insights.PROCESS PLANNING & DELIVERY: Provides thought leadership to the planning and delivery of core human resources processes ranging from performance and talent management, leadership development to change management and organizational design, including spans and layers work.STRATEGY & SOLUTION CONNECTION: Participates as an active member of the human resources community, building relationships across the human resources team and provides partnership on other human resources initiatives and projects while identifying and sharing strategies and solutions.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsMinimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience (HR Business Partner). Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience partnering with global senior leadership teams within complex, matrixed organizationsDemonstrated ability to influence, challenge and coach senior leaders while building strong relationships across functions, regions and culturesExpertise in organizational design, change management, talent strategy, succession planning, and leadership developmentProven success developing and implementing people strategies that enable transformation, organizational growth, innovation and high performanceDemonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced global environmentOutstanding executive communication, strategic thinking, collaboration and relationship-building skillsAdditional InformationThe expected salary for this position is $165,000 - $195,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance. At Cargill we put people first.
