Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A retail pharmacy requires an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide leadership and ensure smooth pharmacy operations for a 4 to 8-week period in Bronx, New York. This contract role demands someone who can step in quickly and manage pharmacy functions with confidence, either as an experienced PIC or a skilled Staff Pharmacist comfortable taking on PIC responsibilities.

Schedule & Hours:
- Monday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- 1st shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and ensure safe delivery under the supervision of the pharmacy manager.
- Counsel and advise patients on medication regimens, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and problems per organizational guidelines.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory, including controlled substances and drug records.
- Manage and clarify third-party insurance coverage issues for patients.
Qualifications:
- Active and clear New York State pharmacist license.
- Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
- Previous retail pharmacy management experience preferred, but not required.
- Comfortable using Pioneer pharmacy software.
