The Lead Cook/Kitchen Supervisor oversees daily kitchen operations within a small team of 1-5 staff members. Working primarily day shifts, this role works directly with the General Manager and focuses on maintaining high standards in food preparation, quality control, and staff supervision. The position involves light ordering and receiving duties along with basic computer tasks to manage inventory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to established recipes and quality standards
• Supervise kitchen staff and provide training to ensure efficient workflows
• Manage inventory, including light ordering and receiving of supplies
• Oversee quality control for all food served during breakfast and lunch service
• Assist in menu planning and coordinate meal preparation activities
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior kitchen and cooking experience preferred
• Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices
• Experience with kitchen inventory management
• Strong team leadership and time management skills
• Basic computer skills for inventory tasks
