Preti Flaherty, one of New Englands largest law firms with offices in ME, NH, MA, and Washington, D.C.,is seeking an experienced attorney to join the firms dynamicEmployment LawPractice Group. TheEmploymentAssociatecan be based in either ourdowntownPortland, MEorConcord, NHoffice.This positionoffersengagingworkadvising and counselingclients andinhandlinglitigationmatterson behalf of Pretis regional and national clients.

OurEmployment LawPractice Grouphas50+ yearsofexperienceservingas trusted advisors toemployersacross New Englandin matters of employment law compliance and best practices, and takes pride being at the forefront of evolving industry trends and fast-paced regulatory changes.Weregularlydefend employers againstdiscrimination, harassment, retaliation, hostile work environment, wrongful termination, misappropriation of trade secrets, restrictive covenants, and business-related disputesinstate and federal courtsand administrative agencies across NewEngland.Our efforts are supported by the full strength ofPreti Flahertysmore than 80 attorneys,practicing indozens of specialized areas.

Required Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree from an accredited law school

• Active bar membership (oranticipatedwithin6-12 months) in NH, ME, or MA

• 2-5years of litigation experience, ideally within employment law

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and teamwork

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Employer-side litigation experience

• Public employer/labor experience
