Registered Nurse - Outpatient Clinic Hematology Oncology

RN Outpatient Hematology
7:30A-4P / Mon-Fri Peripheral and line blood draws and IV placements are required skills. Patient diagnoses hematology malignancies -multiple myeloma, chronic leukemia, and lymphoma -pre and post BMT/CART transplant. Special procedures/unit details include chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, oncologic emergencies: tumor lysis syndrome, cytokine release syndrome, insulin drips, heparin drips, heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls.
Certifications required: BLS.
Skills required: IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line blood draw, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs, computerized charting.
