MRI Technologist (PRN)

Role Overview This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate results. The technologist independently sets up equipment, positions patients, and follows established protocols to produce high-quality images. They respond to emergency situations, verify patient identity, and adhere to safety and infection control standards. Additionally, they assist with patient care by obtaining clinical histories, explaining procedures, and maintaining patient dignity. The role includes equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting departmental operations such as restocking supplies and transporting patients. Effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 1 year clinical experience, preferably in MRI Certification as an ARMRIT or ARRT-MR BLS certification Excellent communication and customer service skills Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and MRI safety Ability to operate MRI equipment, adjust techniques, and troubleshoot issues Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and professionalism in high-pressure environments.
