PRN CT Technologist

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality CT imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy. They operate imaging equipment independently, adhering to safety protocols and optimizing image quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA). Key duties include obtaining clinical history, explaining procedures using AIDET, administering contrast via venipuncture, and positioning patients accurately. They review images for diagnostic quality, repeat or adjust as needed, and document all procedures thoroughly in RIS/PACS systems. The role requires minimum 1 year of radiology experience , a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and certifications in ARRT-Radiography, ARRT-CT, and BLS. Core skills include technical proficiency with imaging equipment, patient communication, infection control, teamwork, and adherence to regulatory standards. The technologist also monitors patient conditions, manages emergencies, and supports department operations and compliance.
