Associate Project Manager

We are seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our corporate office located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely after the training period. The Associate Project Manager is responsible for managing an assigned group of properties and related construction projects, coordinating closely with the Tenant Coordinator and other internal and external stakeholders to advance projects from planning through closeout. The role exists to provide direct day-to-day project management support on both new development and existing asset work while operating under the guidance of the Vice President or Director of Construction. Responsibilities include project coordination, schedule and budget tracking, document management, field observation, issue resolution, and support of tenant and landlord construction activities. What You’ll Be Doing Property Support / Project Support / Documentation Control Maintain project/property and deal documentation (lease abstracts, contracts, change orders, meeting minutes) Run operations construction deals with a quiver of properties Manage submittals and track approvals Track RFIs and coordinate responses Construction Coordination / Field Support Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify issues Coordinate communication between CM/SPM, contractors, stakeholders Maintain/assist project schedules and follow-ups Financial Tracking / Pay Applications Track expenses and support budget monitoring Review/process contractor pay applications for accuracy and compliance Learning, Development, and Mentorship Develop skills in construction management (lease abstracting, prototype specs, coordination) Work closely with CM/SPM to gain hands‑on experience Closeout Assistance Compile/track punch list items to completion Assemble closeout package (warranties, as‑builts, lien waivers) Are You Qualified? Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant construction/project coordination experience Strong organizational and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Intermediate in project scheduling and tracking tools Intermediate in construction document control, submittal logs, RFI tracking, meeting minutes, pay application review, budget tracking, punch list tracking, closeout documentation, and contract/change order administration Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, lease abstracting, prototype specifications, and project coordination for both new development and existing asset projects Preferred Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field Applicable, hands‑on, construction experience, with a practical understanding of construction processes and how projects progress from beginning to end Regency Centers will not sponsor employment‑based immigration petitions or applications for this position, including but not limited to H‑1B, TN visa, or permanent residency Personal Traits We Value Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective time management and prioritization Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on responsiveness and follow‑through Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities across concurrent projects while effectively supporting Construction Managers and Senior Project Managers Strong teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills Sound problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities Adaptability and the ability to respond effectively to changing project needs and priorities Financial discipline and attention to budget, cost, and project details Demonstrated accountability, reliability, and ownership of assigned responsibilities Willingness to learn, develop new skills, and apply feedback in a fast‑paced project environment A Little Bit About Us We own and operate premier shopping centers in suburban neighborhoods in the top cities and markets across the country.
