Locum Psychiatrist Opportunity - Grand Forks, ND

Shift: 7 days on / 7 days off; 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing
Position Details:

• Coverage needed due to inpatient psychiatrist transitioning to outpatient practice
• Inpatient Psychiatry setting
• 24-bed inpatient unit
• Includes 6-bed adolescent unit and adult inpatient unit
• ER and general hospital consults required
• May utilize telemedicine for general hospital consultations
• Work alongside another psychiatrist with Thursday as the typical change day

Patient Population: All ages; adolescent and adult patients
Setting: Inpatient Hospital
Responsibilities:

• Inpatient psychiatric coverage
• Emergency Room psychiatric evaluations
• General hospital consultations
• Management of adolescent and adult psychiatric patients
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams

Required Procedures:

• Psychiatric evaluations and management
• Inpatient psychiatry services
• Emergency psychiatric consultations
• General hospital psychiatric consultations

EMR System: EPIC
Support Staff:

• 1-2 APPs (may vary)
• Social Work Team
• Discharge Team
• Intake Team

Days Per Month: 7 days on / 7 days off schedule
On-Call/Weekends: 1-2 nights of call per 7-day work period; weekends included during scheduled rotation

Requirements:

- Board Certified Psychiatry Physician - Required
- Minimum 1 year of Psychiatry experience - Required
- Experience providing inpatient psychiatric care - Required
- Willing to see patients of all ages, including adolescent and adult populations - Required
- Experience providing ER psychiatric evaluations and hospital consults - Required
- EPIC EMR experience - Required
- Willing to work a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule alongside another psychiatrist - Required
