This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys nonprofit accounting, working with program leaders, and being part of an organization where the mission is just as important as the numbers.Why This Opportunity Stands OutWork for an organization with a purpose-driven mission and strong culturePrimarily remote schedule with excellent flexibilityOpportunity to work closely with leadership and program directorsHigh-visibility role with ownership over revenue accounting processesExposure to grant accounting, financial reporting, and complianceGrowing organization with opportunities for advancementCollaborative team made up of people who genuinely care about the communities they serveWhat You'll Be DoingManage accounts receivable and revenue-related accounting activitiesReview invoices and billing documentation for accuracy and compliancePrepare grant billings and reimbursement requestsMonitor receivable balances and follow up on outstanding itemsAnalyze revenue activity and recommend accruals or adjustments as neededSupport month-end close through journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysisReview grant and program margins and investigate significant variancesPartner with program leaders to support budgeting, reporting, and operational decisionsAssist with annual audits, grant reviews, and compliance reportingPrepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for leadershipHelp identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controlsWhat They're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit environmentExperience with accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and general ledger accountingUnderstanding of grant accounting and funder reporting requirements is a plusStrong reconciliation, month-end close, and financial analysis skillsIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsExperience with Sage Intacct is a plusStrong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departmentsIdeal BackgroundNonprofit or grant-funded accounting experienceExperience supporting audits and compliance reviewsKnowledge of GAAP and fund accounting principlesAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
