About the Position LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Urgent Care NP in Midlothian, Virginia, 23113! We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day assignment in Virginia, commencing Nov 23, 2026. Our client requires a skilled professional to manage laceration repairs, minor burns, orthopedic injuries, and perform various diagnostic tests. This role encompasses direct patient care during 8a-8p shifts, focusing on comprehensive urgent care services. Responsibilities and Duties Perform simple, intermediate, and complex laceration repair, suturing, or stapling. Conduct incision and drainage (I&D) procedures, including packing. Provide minor burn management. Administer skin lesion care. Execute orthopedic and injury stabilization, including splinting and casting. Order and interpret diagnostic and point-of-care testing. Interpret point-of-care lab results, reviewing rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, and blood glucose testing. Manage epistaxis, including anterior nasal packing or chemical cautery (silver nitrate) for nosebleeds. Provide airway support, including administering nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization.
