Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Patent Prosecution Attorney to join its national Intellectual Property team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will contribute to the firm's success with their expertise and dedication. Responsibilities Manage patent prosecution matters effectively and efficiently. Collaborate with clients to develop patent strategies. Conduct thorough patent searches and analyses. Draft and file patent applications with precision. Requirements Ph.D. in biology, preferably with experience in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, virology, microbiology, immunology, and/or plant molecular biology/genetics. Over 5 years of patent prosecution experience. Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Strong academic record and commitment to excellence. Education Ph.D. in biology or related field. Certifications Admission to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Skills Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
