Advanced Practice ProviderThe Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) demonstrates the knowledge and clinical expertise necessary to manage the care of critically ill adult patients. The APP functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary critical care team, working in close collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating acute illnesses and injuries, ordering and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments, and performing invasive procedures in accordance with established protocols, policies, and evidence-based practice standards. The APP participates in the assessment and management of new admissions to the critical care unit and provides expert education, consultation, and patient advocacy to ensure optimal outcomes. 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 3rd shift nights, 7p – 7a, 5 out of every 6 weekends required.OSF HealthCare offers a comprehensive Compensation and Total Rewards Package which includes:Generous paid time off!
