Neurology Institute of San Antonio, a Vivo Infusion Company, Registered Nurse Boerne, TX The Neurology Institute of Kerrville/San Antonio is seeking a Clinic RN specializing in dementia and memory disorders. The RN will provide comprehensive, patient‑centered care for individuals experiencing cognitive impairment (e.g., Alzheimer’s, Lewy Body Dementia, Vascular Dementia) and act as the primary clinical liaison between the neurologist, the patient, and their caregivers. The RN will also support other clinical functions across the Institute as needed. Behavioral monitoring: assess for neuropsychiatric symptoms such as agitation, sundowning, wandering, and depression. Safety evaluations: perform functional assessments to identify risks related to driving, medication management, and fall hazards in the home. Care coordination and management, including triage of patient calls and portal messages. Medication management: support coordination documentation to facilitate pre‑authorization and insurance coverage, and ensure medication is provided per plan of care. Interdisciplinary collaboration with specialist providers, social workers, and geriatricians to execute the plan of care. Family and caregiver support and education on disease progression and care planning. Resource navigation: refer families to community resources such as adult day programs, respite care, and the Alzheimer’s Association. Qualifications Education: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred). Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) is a major plus. Experience: 1–3 years in neurology or geriatrics preferred, but not required.
