About The Role:

We are looking for a Middle Office Analyst to support our Accounting, Risk, and Trading teams with reporting, P&L reconciliation, and trade/position balancing. For the right candidate, this position offers an excellent opportunity to enhance their accounting automation skills within a stimulating and fast-paced trading environment.

What You'll Do:

Acquire a comprehensive understanding of diverse automated daily accounting, reporting, and reconciliation procedures.
Conduct daily reconciliations of trading activity, positions, and brokerage accounts, along with profit and loss reconciliations for derivatives and securities trading across the firm.
Collaborate with traders, back office personnel, risk managers, and clearing firms to resolve trade breaks, discrepancies in fees and interest, as well as clearing and settlement issues.
Support the back-office team by compiling P&L reports at regularly scheduled intervals.
Collaborate with team members to automate various tasks and reports.
Help troubleshoot, maintain, and develop various automated processes related to middle and back-office functions.
Handle post-trade risks and carry out additional middle-office responsibilities such as margin calculations and position/collateral transfers.
Fulfill ad-hoc requests and offer assistance to other team members as required.

What We're Looking For:

Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
1-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in the financial services industry
Proficiency in MS Office
Intermediate level skills in MS Excel, including VBA
Candidates must possess strong attention to detail, analytical skills, self-motivation, and the ability to prioritize and multitask.
Candidates must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Capable of thriving in a collaborative work environment
Familiarity with Python is advantageous but not mandatory.
Familiarity with financial markets/trading terminology is preferred, although not mandatory.
