MIDLAND is the largest independently-owned fine paper and packaging distributors in the country. Our well-established organization is seeking a Claims Coordinator out of our corporate headquarters. The responsibilities of the Claims Coordinator position will include completing credit requests, entering claims and credits into the system, contacting vendors and working with MIDLAND Sales Representatives via phone and email. The schedule would call for this position will be Monday through Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

The ideal candidate is someone who is dependable, flexible, and detail oriented. This person would also need to be comfortable with increased hours during busy times or at the end of the year.

Essential Functions

• Determine the cause of the claim (i.e. defective product or user error).
• Initiate claims with mills for defective and/or damaged product.
• Process all necessary paperwork for claims within specific timeframe.
• Maintain claim log.
• Process entire credit through the system.
• Understand basic accounting functions
• Work with customers as needed via phone or email
• Work closely with Sales Rep and other internal departments.
