Clinical Research Coordinator IIThe Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate and support research studies conducted by the Pediatric Hospital Medicine and Complex Care Research Team. This role involves participant-facing activities, study operations management, data coordination, and communication with investigators and multi-site partners. The coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for clinical research participants, study investigators, and multi-site collaborators, ensuring studies are conducted in accordance with study protocols, regulatory requirements, and institutional standards. Key responsibilities include participant recruitment and screening in inpatient and outpatient settings, administration of interviews and surveys, data collection and documentation, tracking participant stipends, and scheduling and coordinating study team meetings.This position will require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.Candidates who demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities will be given first consideration:Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and research interviewing skills, along with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.Reliability and the ability to follow detailed research protocols with precision.Strong attention to detail, professional communication skills, and the capacity to manage several responsibilities simultaneously.Key job responsibilities include:Assisting with training of staffScheduling logistics, determining workflows, and securing resources for clinical research trialsRecruiting, screening, selecting, determining eligibility and enrolling trial participants, collecting more complex information, performing medical assessments, and answering varied questions under supervision of a medically licensed professional. Performing medical assessments after completion of required training/certification, such as collecting vital signs, obtaining weight, and performing phlebotomyPerforming quality checksIdentifying resource needs and developing clinical research documents, such as job aids, tools, processes, procedures, and training. Contributing to the development of protocolsServing as a main point of contact for clinical research participants, providing information regarding research procedures, expectations, and informational inquiries. Ensuring participants follow the research protocol and alerting Principal Investigator of issuesIdentifying work unit resource needs and managing supply and equipment inventory levelsManaging research workflow components, collecting, preparing, processing, and submitting participant data and samples to appropriate entities, adhering to research protocolsThe starting salary for the position is $50,000 annually; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
