As a Donor Support Specialist , you'll help families navigate one of the most difficult moments of their lives while playing a critical role in restoring sight and transforming lives through donation. Every case is different, requiring attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to balance empathy with critical thinking. What You'll Do: Speak with donor families experiencing grief and guiding them through the donation process. Review donor's medical records, complete questionnaires, and communicate with medical staff to determine donor suitability. Coordinate with funeral homes, medical examiner offices, and hospitals to dispatch Recovery Technicians to donor locations. Work independently and as a team to make critical decisions and solve problems relating to donation criteria. Analyze complex situations, make informed decisions, and adapt as new information becomes available.
