Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Corner Street Behavioral Health, your daily tasks will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborating with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, goals, and preferences.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate client progress.

• Providing education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care practices.

• Monitoring client progress closely, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care tailored to each client.

• Remaining informed about current research and developments in the field of mood disorders to continuously enhance treatment strategies.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also work with underrepresented groups, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, who require tailored interventions to address their unique challenges. By establishing a trusting and secure therapeutic relationship, you will enable clients to express their experiences without judgment, facilitate healing, and promote resiliency.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
