Role Description The Electrical Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Tampa, FL. This position is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, performing quantity take-offs, analyzing bids, and coordinating with project managers, engineers, and vendors. The role also involves assessing project risks, supporting cost control measures, and updating estimates based on design changes or field conditions. The Electrical Estimator will use estimating software and industry standards to ensure accurate, competitive proposals and help maintain strong client relationships. Qualifications Strong proficiency in Electrical Estimating, including quantity take-offs, bid preparation, and use of estimating software. Knowledge of Cost Control practices such as budget tracking, variance analysis, and supporting project cost reporting. Experience in Electrical Contracting, including familiarity with industry standards, codes, and common construction practices. Solid understanding of Electricity principles and Electrical Engineering fundamentals relevant to commercial and industrial projects. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with project teams, vendors, and clients. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in calculations. Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing) and project management or estimating software. Relevant experience as an electrical estimator or in a closely related electrical engineering or contracting role. Associate or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
