This contract opportunity places you in an engaging setting, working side by side with teachers and specialized staff to provide one-on-one and small group assistance, helping students reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role is highly desirable
- Ability to build rapport with both students and staff, offering encouragement and assistance
- Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills
- Familiarity with assisting children who have diverse learning needs or behavioral challenges
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Willingness to follow all school policies and teacher guidance
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide academic and behavioral support to students in classrooms and other educational settings
- Assist teachers in preparing materials and organizing activities
- Help implement individualized education plans under direction
- Monitor student progress and offer feedback on performance and behavior
- Support a positive, respectful atmosphere that encourages learning for everyone
- Supervise students during non-classroom times, such as lunch, recess, or field trips
