Qualifications:
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or recent school-based paraprofessional experience required
- Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training
- Demonstrated competence supporting behavioral needs in educational settings
- Confidence and experience with toileting support for students
- Ability to cultivate a supportive, positive learning atmosphere
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students with academic, emotional, behavioral, and personal needs throughout the school day
- Implement and support behavior intervention strategies as outlined by case managers, teachers, or clinicians
- Provide safe, dignified support for activities of daily living, including toileting as needed
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff to create an inclusive, respectful educational environment
- Monitor, document, and report student progress and behaviors with clarity and professionalism
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging participation and confidence
