Local Delivery Driver (Class B w/ Hazmat) – Houston, TX Location: Houston, TX – Knight Rd – Retail Shop Pay: $26 per hour with quarterly bonus potential. Working Monday–Friday day shift. Responsibilities Cylinder Handling: Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to external and internal customer locations. Record Keeping: Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. Warehouse Support: Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Valid Medical Examiner's Card. Hazmat Endorsement & Airbrake certification. Minimum one (1) year of prior Class B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record (no more than two (2) convictions or two (2) at‑fault accidents in the last three years, or no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at‑fault accident in the last three years). In lieu of experience, a diploma from an accredited driving school within the last 12 months may be considered. Must be at least 21 years or older. Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets. Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs, and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment. Must be able to obtain forklift operator certification. Must be able to work occasional overtime if necessary.
