Adjunct Faculty, Physics or Engineering Technology

Position Overview Broward College invites applications for a part-time teaching position in Physics or Engineering Technology. The ideal candidate will share the college’s commitment to educate students and support academic achievement. Responsibilities Demonstrate mastery of the discipline and a commitment to the college mission, including fostering student success, academic achievement, and persistence. Employ teaching methods to accommodate varying levels of academic preparation and incorporate appropriate technology across modalities to facilitate learning. Facilitate the needs of different learners through responsive pedagogical techniques and effective practices for engaging students. Willingness to examine and adapt instructional, relational, and classroom practices to better engage and support students. Engage in student consultation, course preparation, review of course outlines, and preparation of course syllabi. Provide prompt and constructive support to students through regular office hours and timely feedback on assessments and activities. Provide timely feedback to student emails. Adhere to reporting deadlines such as grade processing, enrollment verification, syllabus submission, and textbook adoption. Participate in service to the college and its community. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Physics or Engineering. OR Master’s Degree and 18 graduate credit hours in Physics or Engineering. Prior college teaching experience preferred. High level of digital literacy and a commitment to teaching.
