This position involves providing comprehensive patient care across multiple medical-surgical units within a healthcare facility. The role requires adapting quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows while demonstrating strong clinical judgment and independence. Job Details Position Description: The Med Surg Float Pool nurse offers care across inpatient medical-surgical units, including step down and emergency department units for med surg holds. Nurses are expected to function independently, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and uphold all hospital policies and safety standards. Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS certification, NIHHS certification, at least 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience. Preferred Qualifications: ACLS and TNCC certifications. Additional Information: Nurses must be comfortable floating between multiple units. Strong EPIC proficiency required. Compliance with all hospital policies, including attendance, documentation standards, and medication safety protocols, is expected.
