About the Team: 

The engine manufacturing department's mission is to product high performing products & manufacturing systems by continuously innovating on cost, quality, and lead time. Through cross-functional collaboration, high levels of accountability, and a focus on safety we support the Terran R program. We are responsible for providing design feedback on new hardware iterations, developing new manufacturing methods and systems, and ultimately building engine and vehicle hardware for testing prior to our first launch. Our team's highlights from the last 6 months include the MDC of the first Aeon-R engine, completing thousands of hours of PBF printing, building and testing over 50 valves of 26 different iterations, and implementing large scale process improvements along the way.

This is a second-shift position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. PT. The role is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week. In addition to base pay, employees receive a 10% shift differential.

About the Role:

• Set up and operate CNC equipment, including multi-axis mills, lathes, and mill-turn machining centers, to produce complex, tight-tolerance hardware.
• Execute machining operations in support of development and production schedules while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and throughput.
• Load and monitor cutting tools, vises, and fixturing to ensure repeatable processes and conforming hardware.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, work instructions, and inspection requirements to ensure parts meet design intent.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and process issues in partnership with CNC programmers and manufacturing engineers.
• Identify opportunities to improve machining processes, quality, cycle time, and overall shop capability.

About You:

• 4+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, mill-turns, or similar equipment in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating multi-axis CNC machining equipment.
• Strong understanding of GD&T with the ability to independently read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Experience machining complex, tight-tolerance components and verifying parts using precision measurement equipment.
• Experience partnering with manufacturing engineers and CNC programmers in a production, development, or R&D environment.

Nice to haves but not required:   

• Experience with programming CNC machines in ESPRIT is a plus. 
• DMG Mori/CELOS experience is a plus.

$34.42—$51.63 USD
