CNC Lathe Setup Operator and G-code Programmer

Pay: $25 to $35 an hour. Shift: First shift, Monday to Friday, 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. start, eight hours. Type: Direct Hire.

A manufacturer in Cleveland, Ohio is hiring a CNC Lathe Setup Operator and G-code Programmer. This is a direct-hire, full-time position on the employer's payroll, with one opening. Pay is $25 to $35 per hour, depending on experience.

The work is setting up and running a CNC lathe with live tooling, and writing and editing G-code at the machine from engineering drawings. You will load tools and material, set offsets, prove out new programs, and make the part to print. You will work on your own on setup and run, so you need to know the machine and the process.

Responsibilities

• Set up a CNC lathe with live tooling from start to finish
• Write and edit G-code at the machine from drawings
• Set tool offsets and verify the first-off part to print
• Run production and hold part dimensions
• Keep the machine and work area clean and safe

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience programming G-code at the machine from drawings
• Able to set up and operate a CNC lathe with live tooling on your own
• Provable experience in CNC lathe work
• Good attendance history
