Faculty Physician, Emergency Critical Care Opportunity – Greenville, SC Prisma Health, the largest not‑for‑profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, is seeking fellowship‑trained Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Medicine physicians to join the newly founded Division of Emergency Critical Care in the Department of Emergency Medicine, University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. Division faculty help grow educational programs and clinical services in an innovative model of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care at Prisma Health. Assistant Medical Directorships are available as well. Practice Setting Regional referral, acute‑care, tertiary‑care hospital with 600+ beds and more than 100 ICU beds Level 1 Adult Trauma Center and Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center Accredited Transplant Program Dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department within the Children’s Hospital Five Community Hospital Emergency Departments, accredited Chest Pain, STEMI, and Comprehensive Stroke Centers Regional ground and air EMS systems Accredited 3‑year Emergency Medicine Residency Program, Advanced Emergency Ultrasound, and Medical Education Fellowship programs Responsibilities Provide emergency and critical care services in a high‑volume, level‑1 trauma center. Participate in educational activities, including resident teaching and program development. Assist in assistant medical directorship roles and contribute to program leadership. Maintain an active clinical practice in emergency medicine and critical care. Engage in scholarship, research, and quality‑improvement initiatives. Qualifications Board certification in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care (or eligibility for recent Critical Care Fellowship graduates). Track record of contributions to emergency medicine and critical‑care subspecialty practice, education, and scholarship. Active clinical practice in emergency medicine and critical care.
