Data EngineerPeraton seeks a Data Engineer to support Department of Defense Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with defensive cyberspace operations and AI/ML security support.Location: Fort Meade, MD.In this role, you will design and implement data infrastructure, pipelines, and integration solutions to support DCDC analytic capabilities within Caspian and JCRS-D environments. You will operate as part of the Analytic Development Team.Primary Responsibilities:Design and implement ETL workflows using Airflow, NiFi, or similarDevelop data transformation logic for schema complianceIntegrate data from IoT streams, APIs, and legacy systemsImplement data validation and quality checksOptimize pipeline performance and reliabilityMaintain data lineage tracking and documentationRequired Qualifications:Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhDProficiency in Python, SQL, ScalaExperience with Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop ecosystemKnowledge of data modeling and warehousingUnderstanding of streaming architecturesExperience with cloud data servicesU.S Citizenship requiredDoD TS with ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearancePreferred Qualifications:Cloud platform certifications preferred5-8 years of specific experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related fieldExtensive experience with React 18/19 best practices to refactor legacy React 16 code. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
