Account Manager, Life Sciences & Applied Markets

Junior Account Manager position at Agilent covering the New York Metro territory, selling chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation to academic, pharmaceutical, and industrial customers. The role involves prospecting for new business, managing customer relationships, and executing a territory growth plan with support from experienced sales colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Grow market share for chromatography and mass spectrometry products across NY, NJ, CT
• Prospect for new customers and generate demand opportunities with assigned Account Managers
• Build and maintain relationships with researchers, faculty, lab managers, and procurement teams
• Develop and execute territory plan to expand share across academic and commercial accounts
• Maintain Salesforce CRM updates and provide accurate monthly, quarterly, and half-year forecasts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related physical/life science
• 1+ years experience with analytical instrumentation or field sales in customer-facing roles
• Working knowledge of chromatography, mass spectrometry, or analytical workflows
• Strong written and verbal communication with consultative selling ability
• Self-management and territory planning skills in performance-driven environment
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders

Compensation: $83,175–$138,625 base plus bonus, stock, and benefits eligibility
